Today was about identifying the hard part of a project. I think that’s important, but you should start with the hard part whenever possible.
Tackle the biggest, ugliest part you can find. Better to get it done up front that sinking a bunch of time and energy into the project only to learn that you’ll be blocked later down the road when you get to the hard part. Another benefit is that you’ll have the excitement of starting a new project pushing you forward at the start, it might feel overwhelming to tackle it later. Finally, once you get the hard part done the rest of the project will feel like smooth sailing.
Start with the hard part, it’s probably not going to get easier if you procrastinate.
